Strong image. Bold contrast and B/W range. Very nice!

What filter did you apply to darken the sky that much at the top?

Gosh, I don't like these Expert Editing challenge rules sometimes. I really, really hope this is a photo taken with great timing to be in the right place at the right time, and not some pasted in moose to make the scene. :/

If this is for real it must have been VERY exciting to see this photo come together! Nice use of ROT's in positioning of the main subject. A tad more contrast on the trees might give this a different (richer) feel and look to it, but as is, I still like it considerably. :)

Best of luck to you in the challenge.

The crossing sign in the upper-left is like an exclamation point on this photo. :) Interesting storyline developing here. Leaves the viewer wondering what happens next?

Wonderfully done B/W image with great use of existing elements (curve, lines, shadows, etc...) to put together a captivating composition.

This is a fun abstract. I could see this hanging on a wall somewhere. :) The clear black area in the center tells me that the surrounding area really has that grainy look...not something done in PP.

Great eye to see this and then capture it in an interesting way! :)

I'm glad you mention the pink hair in your notes...that was the first thing that jumped out at me. :P

I like the composition. Honestly, I'm having a difficult time finding a place to settle in with the photo overall. The ornaments on her lip are a natural place for the attention to shift, but it's quite soft and doesn't hold me for long.

Perhaps I'm missing something, or this monitor at work is not appropriately setup to give this image due justice?

There is certainly a soft, dreamy look to this photograph. If that was your intention it works fine in that context.

The detail in the center of that bag make the beans seem 3D almost. This was a good choice for B/W. Nice job of making a potentially mundane subject look appealing. :)

Great choice for B/W treatment. Very nice details and texture. I also like the angle you selected to bring the inner stem across at a diagonal. Well done! :)

What a lovely place. If it's close to home I'd certainly be visiting frequently. :)

Did you happen to look at this with just the water reflections showing? There's a whole 'nother image in there waiting to come out! Would be abstract, but fun. :D

Nice use of aperture selection and DOF. Well defined subject. Did you consider taking some off the left which would allow the two stalks to be on ROT vertical lines?

If these plants are on your property it would be fun to cut the one on the left and do some studio work with it.

Well seen and captured. :)

I like this for it's simplicity. Nice lighting and background bokeh. Not sure, but a touch more contrast might make it pop just a tad more. JMO of course. Well done overall!
