rubyby shutterpuppyComment: I like the bokeh you're getting on the distant berries in this. I wonder how this would have done with a lower angle to isolate the berries against a plain blue sky, with a long angle (as you kind of have now) to let the DOF do it's magic for the distant berries. |

IU Clock (Red II Outtake)by shutterpuppyComment: Personally, I like this one the best of what you posted in the outtake thread. It's a simpler, "cleaner" looking image with better voting impact. A polarizer would have helped this in two ways; 1) reduce the glare on the clock and pole, 2) enhance the blue sky and clouds some (although they look pretty good already). |

Eleven Fourty What? - Timed Exposureby RainMotorsportsComment: This is clever. Personally, you kind of ruined it by telling us it was a timed exposure in your title. Not a major deal, but it would have been more fun to wonder how it was done IMO. :) Good luck in the challenge. |

Play Time Passesby voxpop78Comment: I like your "time lapse" feel with this. Something about it isn't connecting, it's feels cold and disconnected in some way. Perhaps it's the precise lineup? Maybe the studio feel? Possibly the lighting? Not trying to be rude, just kind of thinking out loud. Sorry I can't be more specific for you. Good luck in the challenge. |

Nuts in a Viseby GreetmirComment: The image is fun, although I think a walnut would have worked better (I know - working with what's available). :D
As for the new lightbox, the lighting looks well balanced. You're getting some nice side lighting (in a subtle way), and the subject is illuminated consistently without showing any harshness/blowouts. Would be interesting to see results with something that has a more reflective surface (glass, chrome, etc...).
Seems to be working just fine. Well done! |

Triptych snow jobby PhotoDaveComment: The subject is cute, and each photo individually is nice, but in a triptych it seems disjointed and hard to look at. I think it's because of the alignment of the deer body that we don't see. It bleeds from one frame into the next. Just an observation. Wonderful catch on getting these images! |

Down in the Dumps...by nickersh2oComment: Now this is going to get some serious "cute" votes going for it. :D Good catch, and good luck in the challenge. |

Blast From The Pastby JawnyRicoComment: Very nice nostalgic feel to this. Wonderful tone and grain. Good job of catching the snow as it falls (fast shutter speed). Only minor complaint from me is the wagon on the back is a bit centered, although it would be hard to change this (moving your position) without screwing everthing else up in the composition. Looks like some area homes in the near vicinity. Overall, well done! Good luck in the challenge. |

Tides Outby sarsonukComment: I understand (I think) your decision to desat the bg in order to make the boats stand out more. Personally, it makes the image a bit too blah. IMO you'd have been better suited to leave the color and blur the distant shoreline. All JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge. |
