An adorable photo - one to be framed and shared with family.
It was a pleasure getting to know you a little during this 30 day challenge. You are surrounded by so many interesting things to photograph. I look forward to seeing more of your work in the days ahead.
Take care! |

Day 30 - The Pathby CapeSailComment: What a fitting image to finish out the 30 day challenge...a path that leads you to who knows where on your journey.

Deer Creekby cogeroxComment: What an interesting mix of textures, lines, and patterns in this. They all come together to make a pleasing composition. The tree and the large leafed plant anchor this shot nicely. |

29 - Ballistersby BudComment: Nice use of patterns, light, and DOF to create impact. It does work in B/W. :) |

choicesby ordinaryangelComment: Yikes! Makes me nervous just looking at this photo. One slip and ... :/
Certainly an emotive shot and well composed. I like the choice of color tone as well.
One thing that seems off is the DOF. The shallow aperture makes the bg seem compressed like you would get with a strong telephoto shot. The sense of depth is lost a little.
Overall, nicely done! |

Winding Softly Through the Mistby ErikVComment: This is a wonderful image. I really like the mystery that the fog adds to the overall feel. The 'S' curve is right on the mark and meets the challenge very well. Well seen and captured! Good luck in the challenge. |

Balloon flight in the Sunsetby merheimComment: This is a pleasant photo. Fun to look at and I like the way the balloon is taking the upper-left corner compositionally. As for the challenge connection - I'm not seeing it. Sorry if it's not obvious to me and I'm missing it. My understanding of the challenge is to have a 'S' curve that leads the viewer thru the image. I honestly can't see that here.
JMO of course. :) Good luck in the challenge. |

S- alviaby things_to_doComment: This has a little too much going on (busy) IMO and the 'S' doesn't do anything to help the photo. It's just kind of there in the background (if the 'S' is the shepherds hook). Ideally, the 'S' curve would be a gentle leading line to take the viewer thru the image.
All JMO of course. :) Good luck. |

Houssse in the Woodsssby Dr.ConfuserComment: This scene is nice and has more potential than is captured here IMO. I say that because of the lighting. Appears to be midday or maybe it's just overcast, but there's nothing dynamic about the lighting. Seems a little flat.
The 'S' you've captured works well for the challenge, although it's not as strong a component to the photo as I think the challenge intended (to lead the viewer thru the image).
If this was cropped to only half, eliminating the upper half, and taken with some still water and reflections - maybe some early morning light with a little steam rising...??? Just a thought.
As is, I think the image is fairly strong to the theme, and I like that you didn't just find some literal 'S' to photograph. And as a photo it's fine, but in more of a snapshot sense rather than an artistic one.
Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

S in Natureby loriprophotoComment: Quit picking on the bugs would'ya?! :) These are so colorful, but doomed if found in OUR garden. I like the "pose" you've caught here. While your 'S' curve isn't a strong leading line with a sense of moving the viewer thru the image, I think it still works because of the proximity of the subject and how it fills the frame. Good luck in the challenge. |
