White Hat in B&Wby jgriecoComment: Nice portrait. Having a hard time making this fit with the challenge theme. Yes, this young lad is a "cowboy" by wearing a hat, but it feels quite staged, like something you'd put on (a prop) in a studio for a portrait setting. Quality is certainly there, although I'm leaning more toward the images that have more of an authentic feel to them. All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Lil' Wranglerby elizadebComment: Cute kid. I'm not sure if the focal plane is that short, or you did some selective sharpening, maybe even selective softening, but the boys mouth and nose seem unnaturally soft in comparison to the rest of the photo. |

Homageby TammerComment: I'm a semi-fan of woody shots, but somehow this one just doesn't feel appropriate for the theme of this challenge. I don't know...guess I'm expecting more on the effort level. Hope that makes sense. |

Water Cowboyby acoppolaComment: Naaah. Don't think this really fits. Nice, crisp, stop action shot however. |

Well Worn, The Cowboy Way.by IvoryComment: Nice pair of boots. Image seems a tad overprocessed IMO (makes it seem somewhat gaudy). JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

In the Pastures of Heavenby EBJonesComment: This is a lovely photo and very well processed for that "glowing" look to it. The photo by itself, with just a horse, is a little thin on the "Cowboy" theme, although the title makes it fit quite well. I really like the way you've done a desat on the outer edge of the border area. |

Mustangsby dtremainComment: Cute, but sorry, a little bit too cheesy/cutesy for me. Good luck. |

Living Freeby swordandsigilComment: Absolutely wonderful image...having a difficult time with the "Cowboy" connection quite honestly. |
