The Gathering by karenkComment: Well done! This was an instant 10 and a favorite for me. You need to market this shot, it has sales potential for sure. |

lover's laneby yankoComment: I think from a scoring standpoint, this may have done even better than your Armadillo shot (although that scored fairly well also).
This photo is fun and puts a smile on your face, while your entry is more artistic and requires more viewing time to fully appreciate. |

Vul800.jpgby MotekComment: I like the "expression" on this bird and the colors are rich/earthy. Probably would have gotten dinged on the loss of highlights on the head area.
While this is very nice, I still like your entry better. :-) |

The only necessary means of wealthby eyeofmymindComment: I get where you are coming from with the message and I can see the use of B/W to help in that presentation. I think you could have stayed with B/W yet gotten a little more "pop" on this with some levels and contrast adjustments. JMO of course. :-) Good luck in the challenge. |

Pearlsby artvetComment: Good use of a creative filter. The lighting on this is right on the mark. Well done. |

g o l dby bnileshComment: Wonderful subject choice...why a plastic container to display it?! A wooden bowl in the top right with the jewelry spilling out onto the red bg would have given this a much richer feel & look. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Deep Pocketed Enthusiast with 600mm Primeby bspurgeonComment: Ok. Which one of you took this shot? :-)
I'm guessing it was the 600mm dude. He-he.
BTW - Great choice for this challenge. Good luck!

Taking-a-Drinkby cryanComment: Good detail on the focal point of this image. The DOF works fine for me and does a nice job of eliminating distractions. I also like the comp and positioning of items in the frame. Only nit from me is the noisy bg...high ISO, or did you bring up the shadows (histogram/curves/levels) in post? |
