A Cherry Splashby rrdjservComment: It can't be "still" if it's moving enough to make that splash now can it? :-) Personally, I've tired of "splash" shots being here for so long, but many will like it well enough. I think the lighting, reflections, anc interior bubbles in the upper-left of this glass will cost you some from the hardcore splash enthusiasts. In any case...good luck. |

Healthy Choicesby karenkComment: Nice use of props and the layout of fruit works fine. Lighting could be a little more subdued IMO, but overall this is a nice presentation. Good luck. |

Bronzeby fotofanComment: Another classic that's very well done. I like the tones and the lighting. So...how many comments do you have on those strawberries? :-P They seem so out of place. Good luck in the challenge. |

Still Life Iby JudiComment: I need some new backdrop material. This looks great! If I'm to voice any nits at all it's that the lighting is almost TOO evenly distributed. Well done overall. Good luck! |

Fruit by Candlelightby smichenerComment: The cantelope is a little bit of an elephant in the room, but MAN, it sure shows detail nicely! Nice control of lighting. I do wish the front orange was within the focal range... Overall still one of my top choices. Well done! |

a bowlby drydocComment: Nice choice in B/W decision. It really lets the textures speak. Your lens choice is very sharp at ground zero (focal point)...front left apple is jumping off my screen! :-) A top pick for me. Good luck! |

Afternoon Treatsby JaimeVinasComment: Very well done...one of my top picks. I like what you've done with the tablecloth and your background. Lighting may be just a tad hot; just enough to keep me from reaching for the 10 - a 9 will just have to do. :-) Good luck. |

Untitledby phloverComment: I like this for the wonderful colors, reflections, and calm overall feel to it. Can't help but lean to the right to view it...have you tried straightening the horizon some? Hmmm...after further viewing maybe it's just the angle the photo was taken from. Still, that first reaction is hard to shake off. I think if you used a perspective tool and got the verticals on the front of the house to be, well, vertical, it could help. :-) |

Eagle viewby mikhaelComment: I like this style of photo and I'm enjoying the composition. This shot seems to have suffered a tad in post-processing with oversharpening. Could also use a slight hit in contrast to richen up the shadows (although that would send the borderline highlights over the edge to for sure blowouts I'm afraid). This would be a good candidate to share in the forums after the challenge and ask "what would you do with this?"...maybe share a small copy of the original for various edits. Good luck in the challenge. |
