Sorry. This doesn't work for me at all for a still life with fruit. Maybe (a big maybe) if I couldn't see the edge of the plywood and if the tonal range was better (basic levels adjustment) I'd give this a 4 instead of a 2.

Fruit? Frog? Fruit? Frog? Hmmm....what should I enter today? I know, I'll do both! :-) Honestly, it's "ok". The frog looks good...the apple seems a little flat (lacking contrast). A straight black background and an orange, lime, or lemon, and this would score 2 points higher. JMO of course. Good luck.

This could be an interesting subject with all of that texture. First, it needs to be in focus...additionally some strong side lighting would do wonders with this material. As is, I'm not really overly enthusiastic about this. Sorry.

It can't be "still" if it's moving enough to make that splash now can it? :-) Personally, I've tired of "splash" shots being here for so long, but many will like it well enough. I think the lighting, reflections, anc interior bubbles in the upper-left of this glass will cost you some from the hardcore splash enthusiasts. In any case...good luck.
