Peter's Creek - Day 3by idnicComment: I actually like the comp on this. The bridge balances out the bright area of water. The water has become the subject. I think without the ripples and the bright oval-shaped reflection, the water wouldn't be as interesting in this shot. For the conditions presented to you I think this works quite well actually.
So...do you think an inline yellow spinner retrieved along that left weedline would produce any nice fish strikes? I do! |

Coleusby LeoComment: The highlights stayed under control and the colors pop very well on this. |

DreamNetby pixelpigComment: Yikes! Pyscho man...
He-he. I just noticed Jutilda's comment - Jimi Hendrix does need to blasting while viewing this. :-D |

Day002.jpgby totaldisComment: I like the contrasting pink & greens. The pink really stands out and is quite vivid! |

Flowersby GermaineComment: This is a fun shot that could actually make an interesting print, maybe in a series. I like how the subject is front & center, yet there is enough surrounding bg context to put the viewer on site. May have lost the highlights a little, but eh...it's a camera phone right? :-) |

Helm crag pathby StarbananaComment: Looks and sounds like a fun outing. :-) As a photo I can't help but notice the blown highlights. Does your camera have the ability to adjust the exposure, like adjusting the ev to -.5, for a shot like this? Maybe add a slight vignette to lead the viewer a little? As is, I want to follow the rocks front center and then up and out to the top right (the rocks form a natural leading line). Just some observations, and not as organized as I'm like them to be (little bit rushed this morning)...sorry. |

day2by loveComment: This is fun, and I can relate (having two cats myself). Although I don't know I'd say the cat "mess"ed it up, but rather created an entirely different shot/scenario. :-) |

Puddle of Lightby MelonMusketeerComment: Let me be the first to say I like it! I'm tired and heading off to bed, but I'll come back and take another look in the morning. :-)
Ok. I came back and looked again. Still like it. :-) I think what makes it unique is the window/frame look to this shot. The surrounding roughness of the pavement and dirt give it a textured feel. So...now I'm going to start looking for puddles with cool reflections. ;P Message edited by author 2009-09-03 15:50:51. |
