Nice complimentary colors. I have to say the blue is a bit of a shock...don't know why exactly. Guess I associate rusty barbed wire with more earthy tones. Does make this unique. :-) Good luck in the challenge.

I like the wild brushy trees, pretty cool. Not sure if they have enough impact to lift your score above the average mark in this challenge. Lighting seems a bit on the harsh side (like mid-day sun) and I'm seeing some purple fringing in the bare tree tops.

Smoke Twist

If you're going to do smoke like this it has to be perfect to score well here anymore. That's because, like waterdrops, it's been done over and over again. I can see where you were headed with this photo and it makes sense overall for this challenge. However, a good portion of the smoke is (or seems to be for me) a little OOF. The sharpest area of the smoke is the lower-left. The upper-right is losing that crispness. Really need to 'freeze' the action to keep it all sharp. Good luck.

Driftwood

I like the swirly lines for sure. Not sure about what the sand is bringing to this - I understand that sand and driftwood come together, just that the sand...oh heck, nevermind about the sand. I'm nitpicking. :-) I think what is holding this back for me overall is the lighting. Seems a bit flat. Good luck in the challenge.

On The Fence

It's funny, at first I wouldn't have considered this fence as 'Twisted' or curved, but that's pretty much the way it's made. :-) Did you consider rotating this 180 to the left? Then you'd have the lines of the fence going more naturally from left to right. The busy bg isn't helping the presentation here either IMO. A shallower DOF could have been your friend here. Anyway...good luck in the challenge.

Ummm...not sure what I'm looking at here, but I have to say it's not really that appealing to me. Seems that the technicals for this photo are ok. Maybe if I knew what the object/subject is I could grab a different perspective on this.

Twisted Twigs

Some potential here. The primary object is worthy of consideration. Seeing the vase at the bottom doesn't help this photo IMO. The bg is a bit too neutral also for this subject (again IMO). The twisted pieces in the center of this arrangement would make a good close study. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Very abstract with interesting OOF highlights. Not really seeing this as a defined twisted or curved lines that is appealing (to me). If the challenge was 'Water' or 'Splash' then I could buy into it. Sorry. All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge.

Interesting, but a tad bit busy. The lighting appears to be midday and a little harsh. This location would probably have some popping textures with a low angle sun at dawn/dusk. Just a thought. :-)

"Ok". Could be executed a little better. That's the first thing that comes to mind when I look at this. The thumbnail looked intriquing. The larger size is showing the dust & debris on the background. Thoughts, if you're interested...use smooth poster board (it doesn't look dirty/noisy), and maybe consider a lower angle. JMO of course. Good luck.
