Very nice lighting...cute girl. Some choices made in post are taking away from this substantially IMO. You have good detail in the areas around her mouth and nose, but her cheeks and especially her eyes are overworked, giving her almost a plastic look (very smoothed out). Her left eye (our right) has lost all detail in the iris. These are obviously just one man's opinion... Best of luck to you in the challenge.

An interesting scene with a nice storyline. Wasn't your choice, but the lighting is quite harsh with the direct sunlight. Not too many options at the time of capture probably, but a little bit of effort in post may have enriched the final presentation (for example, toning down the fish, using some light vignetting, etc...). All JMO of course. :-) Good luck in the challenge.

I'm thinking that HDR was used to obtain the results you have here, especially in the detailed shadows. Regardless...you did a very nice job with post tools to put together a fine image here. Well done!

Looks like a nice place to visit, especially with a camera in hand. :-) The B&W conversion works well. I'm trying to figure out if some things were done in post that are influencing my first impression. Looks like some details are smudged/blurred a tad, like a noise reduction program was applied? If not, then the focal point is the bottom right area (adjoining dark hill is sharpest). The plants in the foreground and mid-foreground seem like they could be more detailed? Then the sky looks like it was plugged in as a new layer or something (I know it wasn't...just the appearance). I say that because of the sharp line of separation at the top of the dark hill and the slight blurring of the sky and contrail.

I could be totally off base in my observations. If so, please accept my apologies in advance. Good luck in the challenge.

At first, for a slight second, I thought she was holding a stuffed toy animal. :-) Thank you for a nice, natural portrait. You didn't go crazy in post selectively sharpening the eyes - you let the camera lens do the work for you. Well done!

I like the POV. The centered comp isn't bad, but it does seem a bit static. A little sharp on the bee and the whites are hot (lost detail) on the far right. Just some observations. Good luck in the challenge.

Oooh-ooooh! You should give a lesson to the person that took the photo I commented on a few shots back with similar subject matter. This is exquisite! Wonderful lighting, focus, and DOF. I like the color tones too. Bravo! Good luck in the challenge.

This is a fun still life. I like the spoon for scale. Clever idea using the egg half-shell as a pot. A few minor spots on the glass and egg could be cleaned up (nothing too major). Backdrop seam is a quite evident...not sure whether that matters much or not. I noticed it, so I bring it up. Overall, nicely done. Good luck in the challenge.
