Speeding up in night by amdprasadComment: A little less road and subject off-centered a bit more, and this would have been an 8 from me. As is, a 6. |

Temple for Lightby PennyStreetComment: This would be a great photo if not for the wood smack dab in the middle. The white walls with the dark moving people are strong ... just that darn wood! |

Hiddenby pgirish007Comment: I like the grittiness of this. Wish it was taken in an outdoor setting is my only nit. |

The Portal by ColeyComment: Whimsy capture. Perfect title. Just lacking some punch ... It's coming off a little flat, like the levels could use a little pop and some contrast added. So, so close to being a top choice. |

Dock Reflectionsby illini75Comment: I like this shot for sure. Natural tendency (at least for Westerner's) is to go left to right, which the dock, acting as a leading line, takes me right on out of the photo. For me, the primary part of this image is the ladder on the left. I really hate to say this because composition is artistic choice and suggesting to the photographer to consider another possibility is sometimes chafing ... did you look at a vertical (portrait) crop of the left third of this image? I think it has possibilities (crop to include 3 posts to the right of the ladder, and perhaps lose a smidge at the bottom to just come into the longest post on the left.
With all that said ... again, still like this shot. The lighting is very pleasant and your processing, or restraint thereof, is spot on.
Good luck in the challenge. |
