Thanks for the comment / question. It's a bit of experimentation to find the right ISO and shutter speed. Started with the 400 rule (400 divided by focal length � 400/24 = 16 seconds rounded down). Take a few exposures to dial in the settings. Hardest part is getting focus. The lens I used, like many, doesn't quite sit right at the infinity mark. Just a slight movement in focus (like 1/32") made a big difference. In retrospect I think I sharpened this a bit too much in post (I should edit on my PC and good monitor instead of being lazy and doing it on a laptop in front of the TV - LOL).

I am confused how you guessed my editing process on this photo. I did not apply any blur at all to this image. I actually did very little processing and it was essentially a crop, and desaturation and a touch of selective sharpening of the stag.

Well DANG there slim jim lens man! That's a super slim slice for F8! Ok, I stand corrected and I'm eating crow. Pretty cool, and thanks for sharing.

Don't take this the wrong way � the detail on the bull is fantastic, but I'm shocked that this made Top 10 with the amount of selective blur applied. It kind of looks like a toy figure with the current presentation - not that dissimilar to the miniature effect with tilt shift or selective blur on an elevated cityscape, etc.

I like everything but what's displayed on the TV. :-) On a serious note, this is a well thought out capture. A slight perspective tweak in post to straighten up the side angles would have bumped this a point or two. Still, nicely seen and captured. Good luck!

Bit narrow on the crop (panoramic in nature). Too bad you couldn't stop down some to get more starburst on the setting sun. Nice colors however. Good luck.

This challenge makes sense for a drone shot. Love the fall colors. The distant skyline didn't cooperate much (would have been way cool to have a bit of drama there).
