The approachby toutoungiComment: Wow. That almost looks like a toy! I know it's not, it's just the POV and the blurring of other elements. Gives that miniaturization look to it. |

Frozenby wildirisComment: No kidding! I looked at a field by us the other night and the sun glow was like this. I wanted to grab a photo but my phone wasn't doing it justice. You did well with this one. Good luck. |

Let's Make Musicby bob350Comment: That's fun. My grandfather played the concertina. Do you play also or just have it as a conversation piece / family heirloom? As far as the photo goes it presents well enough. Did you look at it rotated to the left 90 degrees? Seeing some streaks at the end that would suggest cloned out wire or string that held it up? |

to couture or not to coutureby PennyStreetComment: These are always fun to take when visiting the museum. :-) Slight nit in that I wish the DOF was including the painting and frame, they seem quite soft. |

Lightening Showby bobnospumComment: Some sort of magician's performance? Very grand setup. I like the blue background overtones. Makes for an interesting image. |

Night Sky Observer by orvaratliComment: Originally posted by orvaratli: Originally posted by glad2badad: Love the color. The image seems substantially stretched (the clouds, especially on the right, don't look right, and the guys shoes look like size 16's - maybe they are). Would like to see the settings for this to capture the stars and streak in the upper right and to yet get decent DOF. Cool. |
The image was not stretched but its shot with a 14mm lens which distorts elements close to the edge of the frame. I hope my wife in the frame does not read your comment though. She uses shoe size 6 |
Ummmm ... tell her it was a typo? Yep, that's what it was. Meant to say 6 not 16. :-) |

street shadowsby tvsometimeComment: Hmm. Thinking. ... I'm torn on the foreground subject being a subject or incidental. Haven't decided yet. :-) Good luck. |

Reply hazy, try againby KristjanUnnarComment: The feeling "classic" comes to mind. :-) Spot on for the challenge theme and nice positioning of the main foreground object in the comp. |
