Holding the light

I tried a shot of an oil lamp for the glass 2 challenge. This is a lot better. This is the atmosphere I was trying for. Maybe I should have tried to have something besides just the lamp in the shot. I like the effect of the light in the chimney of the lamp and the mystery of the woman with the painted face. I really like a photograph that makes me want to know more about what is going on. I agree with the commenters; this is a 7, easy.

Train Bridge

This is a hard choice, isn't it? If you frame the whole entry to the bridge, the far end is really small. I think I would like to see the whole entry but I admit that I might have made the oposit comment if you had framed it that way. :) I might try increasing the contrast a bit.

The swing seems kind of lost in the back ground. Now that I mention it, it strikes me that that is kind of the point, though, isn't it? I like it more the longer I look at it and think about it.

The colors match so well I nearly didn't see the moth. The fence is hard to see too. I like the complexity in what looks very straight-forward at first.
