Barkby chazyorickComment: This seems out of focus, or with severe camera shake. I'm not sure if it wasn't intended effect so I won't tell you how to fix it, but I can tell you that it does not appeal to me. |

Sunset of the Cellsby lucienawComment: Wow! I've seen telescope photos on DPC before, but I think that this is the first microscope one! (Correct me if I'm wrong!)
Deserves a 10! for the true abstract AND macro at the same time. |

Putting Pen to Paperby diablo2097Comment: Very nice!
A suggestion for improvement: Perhaps if you'd left the trail of ink towards the rear... I noticed a very shallow DOF - the ink trail (a.k.a the written curved or wiggly line) would have dissipated in the background because of such DOF. Anyway, I like it even as such. |

Irisby RetroesqueComment: Same as mine (well, very similar!) I like the DOF here, but the yellow parts of petal ended up looking green somehow. At least they do not appear blown.
Good luck! |

Joggingby mia67Comment: Two of them are having fun and one is not quite sure what to make out of it all! This one is for the family album (front page I mean). |

Kingsfield Drive.jpgby mia67Comment: Beautiful! You already have snow up there in MI?
It is a tad too white - it could also me my monitor, or most likely my eyes tonight that cannot stand the 14th hour at the computer... I also bet that the histogram of this image has two peaks, one far left and one far right. (i.e. the distribution of middle tones is almost negligent compared to pure white and pure black) but that works well for this image. I'm not sure if a softer one would work as well. |

Butterfly Collectionby mia67Comment: Very nice color! A slightly bothering is that my eyes search desperately for the point that is in focus, and the only thing I was able to come up with is the flower on the left.
I like the framing, too! |
