Silence by heidaComment: Ansel Adams dodge and burn to make teh scene more realistic. I.e. he wouldn't dodge it until the color changse, or to create cloud effects. This is a nice photo but it is approaching digital art.

It is great art. I guess we have to look at these examples like Ansel Adams landscape photos. Those photos ARE NOT straight out of his camera, he pioneered darkroom techniques that would be the equivalent of dodging and burning. Because it's done on a computer and not in a lab, does that make it any less legit? That's just an example, I'm actually not on either side of the debate. |

Power of One: Rise Above the Restby paganiniComment: BTW guys, thanks for your kind comments... this is one of my fav photos so far this year because i was able to "see" the results before i take the photograph in my mind, so i thoroughly enjoyed shooting this image (and other similar images). |
