Wonderful! my favorite bug macro from the challenge. The colors and lighting are very soft and eye pleasing. For f2.8 the point of focus is excellent. Great skill you have there.

So wonderfuly crystal clear and sharp. The lighting is very interesting. Did you use an off camera flash at what settings?

The color of the mantis is great but I think the background color and contrast compete too much with the scene. A little distracting it is.

I must say I too thought the thumb looked like an aerial then was pleasantly suprised to see this serene view. Wonderfully seen and composed. The ripples make it extra special.
