I really want to like this more. Maybe I'm having a problem with the white at the bottom that may be snow, but appears to look more like foam which isn't pleasant to look at in a pond or lake. I think a crop off of ~10% of the top and bottom might have made this better. A solid 6 with a potential bump if it calls me back. :)

Doesn't really seem like you added any painterly processing to this. ...congratulations! :) It seems you nailed it without cheap tricks or gimmicks - none of which I am opposed to or dislike, btw. If you did use anything, you did it masterfully. 10

Gorgeous dog, great scene. Processing just isn't working for me. Not so much a painterly feel as smudged or blurred. Worth a 6 with a potential revisit and bump.
