Breath of a Noteby DefyTimeComment: This is an awesome shot. I really like everything about it. It's not an obvious choice for the challenge topic, but easily understandable connection. Great work. |

flour sifterby anelisComment: Very good concept and looks like it could've been a great photo, but cropped way too tight. ...why? :-( |

Stairsby ccaseyComment: Screw that! I'm taking the elevator! :-) Neat shot. That light is a bit overexposed though. My 2 cents. |

I like this alot! ALmost was gonna say it's too dark, but then - nope. I think this will place in the top 10. One of my top picks. |

No Power Locks, No Power Windowsby JEFFJSBComment: Good subject. I am starting to think black & white is detrimental to this challenge because it ages the photo with the subject and removes part of that old/new contrast feeling. Speaking of contrast... coulda used a little more I think. I also would not have cropped that close to the top of the carriage. Seems like a good rule for this type of shot would be to crop as if someone was sitting in the seat. Lastly, I would've removed the rock(?). Hope this helps. :-) |

Old Wordsby CODEComment: It certainly looks like a very old, low tech typewriter - surprisingly only the second I've seen in this challenge. This one has superior lighting and setup (i.e. paper inserted), but loses points for not letting me see that which would make this more immediately identifiable - the keys. Even if you felt it important to get the mechanics in the back, a little pan out and / or left seems like it would captured it all. :) |

asian wheelbarrowby docpjvComment: Too closely cropped to determine its appropriateness for the challenge topic. It does look old and low tech though. |

Lego of my egoby Travis99Comment: Hmmm, most will recognize these are not Lego™ - Shoulda gone with Lincoln Logs! ;-) Good color, composition & cropping. Lighting is a bit over-exposed for me. Hope this was helpful. |
