Balanceby SammieComment: Good DOF, nice textures. The composition of the big stone against the background is too stable for my taste. I would rotate the image 30° clockwise, if cropping allows that. You'd get much more dinamic lines and the stones would look even less stable, thus more difficult to balance. 5. |

Rock in its naturally Sittingby Crafty SueComment: Your picture is out of focus and blown out on some parts of the rock. Switch your camera to 'macro' mode for close-up photographs. Reduce the exposure time or decrease your aperture to make your picture darker, in order to avoid areas of pure white.
I think a lower perspective would have improved this shot, as if a bug or an ant was seeing the stone. 3. |

Stare of stone.by cathysappComment: I feel like you didn't do much for this picture. The creativity comes solely from the statue, which is a work of art in itself. I don't think that your approach to photograph the stonehead adds anything creative. Rotating it -90° doesn't help either. 3. |

Cave in the Rockby parrotheadComment: Great lighting. I like how the image is split in two parts. But it looks overedited: too much contrast, and the woman is out of focus, or so it seems. Might be a postprocessing matter as well. 7. |

Nothing but fun...by hvellurComment: Excellent, outstanding and striking composition. But the blurred background is really distracting. Why did you not use a smaller aperture? You would have gotten a larger DOF and might have used a faster shutter speed. I agree with jfaulkner though, it certainly looks professional. Congrats on your top 40 finish. |

Extremely Small Actionby cadbikeComment: Hilarious. I like the off-diagonal line and the blurred background. Congrats on your top 50 finish, and show us more neat shots like that! |

flipper.jpgby graphicfunkComment: Very useful info. I'll have to try this sometime. It seems to be one of your favourite techniques, and you made excellent use of it for your boxer picture. |

The "Joy" of the set-upby graphicfunkComment: I should have known this was yours. Should have placed a good deal higher in my opinion. I read the comments and it seems some people didn't like the fact that it was set up. I thought about that too, but then I thought that by themselves, the letters are accidental. All you did was align them. Again, like on your recebt action shot, I can see the wrinkles of your jumper ever so slightly. |

Off Centerby graphicfunkComment: Great picture. Just wanted to let you know that the background is not pure black on my screen, which I'm sure it is intended to be. Very slightly though. |
