Ah, you got robbed! One of my top pic(k)s. I think those green eyes comply in an excellent way with the apples. Maybe they should have been in focus for DPC? I like it like that.

Thanks for the info on how you did this. I took a similar approach, but I was stopped by technical and compository problems. Your image turned out much better. I will try some more experiments with glowing fruit though. They are fun.

A Fairy Tale

Thanks for the comments. The apple was illuminated from inside. You can still see the red electricity cable on the branch above. It's not even an apple tree :)
The light strokes were painted with a small green LED. Hard to control, and impossible to get into focus, since I was working with F/2,8.
It didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it, but I lurned a lot during this challenge. I have many outtakes and some great ideas which I'll try out during my holidays.
