7 ... or 8 ?by sgauriaComment: Now this one's got the controversy I like. Reminds me of what I like to do. A great idea, but I think the setup's not so good. The reflection is too strong, the angle too flat, the tip of the lower stick is out of focus. I do like the textures of the paper and the sticks. |

7 for menby PascalComment: A bit oversharpened, but it really has the 'advertisement look'. I like the tone. I'd buy that. |

Golden Garnishby skylenComment: Very shaky link to the challenge, but hey! it looks good. I don't like the plate in the upper right corner and the reflections in the spoon. I appreciate how you show a source of food, the wheat, and the plate as symbol for the wait for food. The viewer has to imagine what's between. Even if you didn't mean to show that ;) |

7 secondsby smr78Comment: ...just as long as I stay-ay... Oh, sorry, but this shot really reminds me of Eagle-Eye Cherry's song with the same title :) I like how the text stands out against the rest. That creates some contrast. I also like the clock's 'iris', the lines that move towards the center. |

chosen starsby imagesloyolaComment: I don't know why, but I really like this picture. There's something very special to it that I can't seize. Good job. |

Spherical reflections by anirenoComment: This is a great picture. I can't help but listen to the echo in my mind which says 'Lucky seven, lucky seven, lucky seven,...' all the time. Very nice symmetric composition, flawless I'd say. The reflections make a nice star. The border is too close to the bullets for my taste. The picture would have been better without it. A stunning shot. I hope you'll get rewarded for it :) 10. |

seven stepsby brunasComment: A great picture, I really like it. But I think the link to the challenge is weak, that's why I'm taking one point away -> 9. |

7 framesby HeavyComment: I like how you build up symmetry and break it down at the same time. The two lower frames look as if their sides were mirrored by the green-orange frontier, but in fact they are so by one single point. The large double frames lie at the same angle on their respectives sides, but they vary in heighth.
The one frame I don't like is the upper one. It' not perfectly symmetical, yet not rotated or shifted enough to suggest the opposite.
The reflections are fine, but I'd have liked to see them on every frame, not just on the two big ones. You found a good intensity of the d´shadows. They're not too hard, just strong enough to suggest that the frames stand out from the paper.
Well done, good use of various techniques and nice composition, yet I have to admit it doesn't really appeal to me. Perhaps it's just too constructed. Yeah, yeah, there's no way to satisfy me ;). I hope the comments are useful to you. 7. |
