I think the lighting should have been a little stronger to get the whites whiter, but the DoF and composition are good.

From the thumbnail I thought this shot looked great. The contrast, the colours, all fab. The trouble is it is faaaaar too oversharpened and there are artifacts everywhere which really spoil the photo. I wish I could give this the 8 I would have done but I have to give it a 5. Go easy on the sharpening in the future :)

The pink background is a bit garish, but it offsets the yellow of the fly nicely. The composition is a bit too centered for my taste.

I'm not sure I like the yellow background. I would have preferred a nice simple white.
