Unless I'm mistaken, there is a lot of noise in this image, both in the wings and in the sky. Although I don't think that the noise in the sky detracts from the shot, I think that the noise *under* the wings does detract from it. If you ran this image through "Neat Image", available for free on the internet, I bet it would make a dramatic reduction in the noise. Disregard this comment if that's not noise I'm seeing! Otherwise, nice shot! The bird is in a good pose and has a nice look in his eye.
