Churchby MakkaComment: Great perspective and use of available lighting. I love the feel of this image, but agree with the other comments about cloning out the building on the right. The handrail also takes away a little from the image, but only minimally in my humble opinion. Great shot! |

Geckoby RikkiComment: Great study of light, color and texture! The negative space is spot on in this one. The DOF feels a little shallow since parts of the gecko are a little soft while others are sharp. Very nice image... you could almost put some text in the negative space and use this for a greeting card. |

Between carsby lowonenergyComment: I really like this one. It's not your typical light trails image. The negative space in the middle works very well. |

Leifur Eiríksson, Reykjavík, Icelandby magnusComment: Great moody shot I think you've captured the feel of the statue very well. There seems to be a little noise that could be cleaned up with a little NI... probably a side effect of a higher ISO. Good work! |

Spot-the-Cheetah.jpgby Mr_PantsComment: Very cool shot. I've always been a fan of big cats. This is an example of why cheetahs have spots. Great example of camoflage. My only nitpick is the missing feet. A tighter crop on the top might help alleviate the off balance feel of the image. |

Randyby CalliopeKelComment: What a great shot! It's interesting how the post-processing clashes so much with the expression. I do not mean this in a bad way, just that when you see high contrast "grungy" images like this, they are usually attached to a somber/sad image. Your subject looks genuinely happy and carefree. Even though the technique and the subject do not go hand in hand normally, I think it's a wonderful blend for this particular portrait. Wonderful portrait, I wouldn't change a thing. |

Study in Black Lightby LeeDComment: Originally posted by CalliopeKel: What process did you use to get the blue effect? |
It's heavily processed and probably falls more in the "digital art" category, but the "blue" color is actually one of the few things that wasn't altered in post-processing.
The image was shot under black light (long exposure). It's "blue" straight out of the camera. Post-processing was clone and healing of a few blemishes and c-section scar, NI, USM, gothic glow, added noise, darkening of shadows (not necessarily in that order). |

On the Catwalk (Re-processed)by alien2thisworldComment: The re-processing definately helps this image. Much better. The color cast is somewhat distracting, but a simple b/w conversion would easily fix the problem and have the added benefit of improving the image (IMHO). Overall this is an excellent concept and I really like the way you've arranged your poses. |

Form and Flowby LeeDComment: Wow, thanks for all the positive words. I agree with lining up the sheers across the frames. I would've loved to be able to get this one right, but alas, my model was pooping out on me! Maybe I'll convince her to try again some day! |

Side Streetby tpocComment: Nice use of leading lines and I really like the b/w choice you made. The image itself is a little busy and could probably use a little cropping off of the street clutter to bring more focus on the bridge. You could even get more punch out of it by cloning out the power lines and telephone poles. Overall, great shot! |
