I'm not quite sure what to make of this. The red distracts so much - my eyes keep going righ to the red, and not to the "baby". The background is distracting as well with all that texture. Also - though I wouldn't say that it DNMC, I don't immediately get "mother" from it.

I would love to have seen a more "close-up" shot of her. This just has too much distraction in the background, and the color feels "off" to me for some reason. The picture on the wall has good color, but everything else looks kind of odd.

I think I might like this better in black and white. The strong colors of the shirt and sweater really compete with what I really want to look at - their faces! My eyes are continuously drawn to the orange especially. I do like the way they are positioned together, it's so sweet.

This image is as compelling as it is creepy. There has got to be a story behind this, and I sense that it is not a *good* one. I initially thought that I would prefer if the white sheet had been draped completely behind the model; I find the dark wood in the background to be distracting, but on the other hand - it adds a bit of "darkness" to the image that may not be unwarranted.

Certainly, this is outside the "norm" for thoughts on motherhood, and I would think that your score may suffer for this, but I do commend you for conceptualizing what may actually BE the "norm" for some.

I like the concept, and the general execution of it, but am not crazy about the crop on this. It feels very lopsided to me. I do like the nice warm color tone.
