One of my highest rated for the challenge, I just like this so much. Love the black and white, composition is great, as are the "starbursts" on the earrings. The tiny little bit of light in the top left corner distracts me a bit - my eyes keep being drawn to that spot - but overall I love the shot, and it conveys the challenge well.

One of my highest rated, I like this very much in spite of the fact that it seems "set up". I was kind of looking for "real" surprises, but this is just so good. Composition, lighting, and general overall look are great, and it does get the point of the challenge across.

Really nice shot, gets the point of the challenge across exceptionally well, love the black and white and the composition is pleasing, but I would love to have seen some smoke curling all around on the left side to balance the shot a little more. Not crazy about the drop shadow on the border.

I figured that there would be lots of coffee shots, and must say that this is nice! Love the rich colors, and the lovely steam, I can just smell it! Hmm.. it's actually making me want a cup of coffee! Pleasing composition, good lighting, and you conveyed the challenge subject quite well.

You sure hit the nail on the head for an aroma challenge! This shot is well done and looks like an advertisement. Love the composition with the bread against a dark backgound instead of shooting it sitting on a table in full light, it really creates a warm, "intimate" shot with no doubt as to what the aroma is.

I am a big fan of black and white, coffee, and the wonderful peace that seems to be conveyed by the landscape in your shot. With all of that, this photo has a lot of appeal to me on many levels! I would love to have seen a more dynamic composition with the placement of the mug and the spoon, but overall it has a nice tonal range and I like this shot very much.

I am a huge fan of black and white, but am not crazy about it for this shot. For me, it gives the shot kind of a cold feel, and since, overall, this shot has a somewhat sensuous feel to it, I would prefer the warm skin tones of color. I love the composition; the negative space aspect is emphasized by some lovely sensuous curves. I think the appeal of the composition overall is why I am giving you an 8.

I have no idea what coriander smells like, bu this makes me want to go smell it! Nice shot with pleasing composition. Something about the lighting feels a little "off" to me - maybe the purplish-pink cast shadows, and the yellowish feel to the shot. I would love to see this on a nice stark white background.
