Colorado River - Framedby amit_sahaComment: Trul;y a magnificent place. In 6your photo, the lighting looks like it was very difficult, but you've done a good job with it. My only quibble with it is that I feel the bottom is cropped too much - I'd like to see thewhole of the river round that bendy bit. ;>) |

Framed in sandstone by arpitaComment: Magnificent place, a photographer's dream. You should do well in the rankings with this one. |

Gold! Oh my God...by victor01Comment: This suffers from the resizing - there's so much detail that a lot of it seems to get lost in the sharpening. It's certainly an ornate mantelpiece! ;-) |

pelican.jpgby Penny LaneComment: He looks like he makes Ogden Nash a liar - his belly holds more than his beak can. |

28.jpgby Penny LaneComment: I guess they must only live in the west - I never saw one. It looks quite similar to a rainbow lorikeet, but without the red and orange colours. |

Mmmmm....Chocolate!by -Bec-Comment: Great depth of field. It's a kid, but he looks kind of grown up with that pose and grin.
I predict a high placing. |

Olympic Rainforest by ZoomdakComment: If I had managed to get through all the voting (only 80% or so), the difference between First and Second may have been even closer.
A very well done waterfall shot. |

Rainbow Brightby sherpetComment: I tend to be in agreement with other posters - this is the more successful one of the two. Great lines and colour definition. It has a water coloury effect, particualrly near the bottom.
You have a great eye for seeing these kinds of patterns, don't you, young lassie! |
