On Putney Hillby JulieGComment: Wonderful silhouette. But if the haloing effect is due to sharpening, then perhaps you've gone a bit far - I would imagine sillhouettes don't need much sharpening as there's no detail to bring out. |

Devastationby ace flymanComment: This is Mt St Helens, right? I had a look at in in 1986 - very windy on the lookout spot. |

Time to Reflectby bryanbrazilComment: Lovely spot. Quite a few dead trees there - diseased or fire victims, I
wonder.

What is going onby biggisComment: Does he have heterochromia?
The bear looks like there's something coming out of its nose. That should be taken care of during the shoot. |

Waiting...by kris11Comment: My colleague asked me yesterday if I liked flies. I said, "No, not particularly. But they make interesting macros." Whoo, wow - good one here! |

Dreamby TiberiusComment: This is kind of spooky, and sad. The tones are great.
I can recognise most of the characters, but as it's Chinese, I don't know what they say all together. Perhaps it's a gate to a cemetery... |

Sunrise at Desert Viewby emaynerComment: Grand Canyon is absolutely wonderful. However, there's not much "pop" to this photo. I think maybe you thought, "I have a bit of pink light on the cliffs there, that will wow 'em". If there was a later shot with more light on the mesa, I'd like to see it - but there might have been too many clouds in front of the sun. |

Paterson's Delightby graphicfunkComment: I wonder where this is. It would be quite ironic if it was in Australia, as there we have something we know as Paterson's Curse. It's a weed introduced from Europe thatbis not good for livestock. (Also known as Salvation Jane).
As for the photo, I'd like to see a wee bit more at the top. Good exposure of the flowing water. |

What a cat might do when it rainsby raishComment: I think the window reflections are fine, but I don't get the impression that it's raining. It's a clssic kind of cat-in-the-window shot.
"Cardboard orgy popout raincat Piraeus". Not sure what this means...
