Fiber...Nature's Pipe Cleanerby sabphotoComment: Originally posted by Kali: Hi Scott, this shot is too funny! I can't believe it did so poorly. Some people just don't have a sense of humor and/or really take the challenge description too literally. Anyways, even with all the minor technical flaws this is a great photo and I definitely think it could appear in a food magazine, or any magazine as an advert.
As you can see from here I meant to give you this but I forgot. |
how totally cool! Thank you, thank you, thank you, this is awesome. |

Fiber...Nature's Pipe Cleanerby sabphotoComment: Thanks for all the comments everyone, I'm glad it made so many laugh...yes this is me, I had to run back and forth to the camera since I don't have a remote. lol I'm sure it would have been quite a scene if anyone had been watching.
in reply to some of the comments...
-the reason there isn't more cereal in the box is because it is supposed to represent that I just got done eating it and that is why I'm now on the toilet.
-I do think the quality could be better, and probably was before I tried to post process it on a monitor that is old and apparently too dark...sorry about that. I was also shooting in a room with fluorescent lights and ugly yellowish walls and couldn't get a pleasent white balance. (wow just looked...21 1 votes? I didn't think it was THAT bad, oh well). With a better quality shot I don't see why a company wouldn't use it in an advertisement, they like humor too, maybe with just a toilet and no one on it would be better.
-Sorry about the distracting Coca-Cola bowl, it's all I had to work with.
On the plus side, my current challenge is only 6 hours old and doing much better than this did.

Barnby sabphotoComment: Sorry to everyone for the processing, I really didn't think it looked so bad when I posted it, I guess I should have stopped a lot sooner. On the other hand, this image in full screen size does look totally different...oh well live and learn.
Thank you all for taking the time to comment and vote. Message edited by author 2008-04-08 06:51:59. |

Yankee Candles.....They'll take you there!by susanhComment: wonderful idea and nearly perfect setup. The only thing I think could be done different is placing the candle more off center (but I do also like how the path on the candle is lined up with the path on the dune). You have great lighting and sharp details so you should do very well. Good luck. |

mack.jpgby anthonyczajaComment: at first I was wanting the eyes to be sharper but then as I looked at it more I found I like it just the way it is. I like how the whites are close to blown out but still has texture and isn't a distraction. Great job. |

Somebody Please Helpby fuzzytComment: awesome idea, not executed very well. Your white balance is very yellow (could be corrected in most post processing programs) and her details aren't as sharp as they could be. Still an awesome idea...good luck. |

...He shall wipe away every tear...by mgsmith53Comment: I'm afraid you could be bordering on DNMC due to the fact that the Cubs winning the series would be a flat out MIRCLE...of course it could also mean that Hell has frozen over and only heaven is left. lol...j/k Nice idea. |
