Satsuki Matsuri (May Festival) by yankoComment: Congratulations on your ribbon.
Very nice image. I'm kind of glad I got DQ'd since my similar image would not have stood well next to yours lol. |

The Alpha Ram by hahn23Comment: wow, very nice capture. After spending the first 20 years of my life in Colorado and even a cabin up near Winter Park I have only once gotten to see "wild" big horns.
Up on the edge of Estes on the side of the road. As I tried to get a little closer they were making some movements that I didn't feel were friendly so I stepped back lol.
They are amazing animals and it is even more amazing that you got so close to them. Great job. |

Grieving geldingby snafflesComment: one thing to keep in mind is with borders, less is more. I know you wanted to separate the image to meet the challenge but the borders totally killed your image. All the viewer sees now is the very large blue boxes. Keep it subtle like a thin black border. See the slight one that is around every picture on this site? Little thicker than that and you'd be good to go.
Better luck next time. |

Seven Knot Grin.JPGby MelonMusketeerComment: totally cool shot, I've wanted to try shots like this but I don't have a head on my monopod that allows it to be adjusted to different angles. I'd love to see this shot maybe out more to the side to maybe cut you out of it or find a way to have the monopod secured to the boat so you can let go of it and look more relaxed and natural. Still a cool shot. |

Bummer dude. |
don't know why I didn't think of that, great idea. I've done it at least twice before so I will have to give it a shot. Matter of fact I used to take pictures of really nice blue skys with clouds at different angles so I could have them for just such an occasion...wonder where they are...ummmm. |
