Lotsa egg shots :) Isn't it amazing how we all think alike? Reasonably good execution here, but the blurry fingernail bothers me. Or maybe it's egg gunk. It still distracts, and I'm struggling to find a true "subject" here. 5

Love this shot. Good use of the chain link, appropriate focus and DOF. Colors are just blue enough to make me feel separated. Excellent! 10

Wow, that's a nice blue sky, and it's VERY different from the dark wall. A touch of fill flash would have bumped this up about 2 points for me, I think. I like the theme! 7

This evokes a sadness in me. The green is just too dominate, though, because it pulls my eyes very strongly. Maybe a touch too much burned vignetting, too. 5

Flame shots are, IMHO, very hard to do well. The movement of the flame always results in a blur, and the flame is normally overexposed by 2 or 3 stops and everything else is underexposed. I'm not going to vote you down because this is a flame shot - it's done as well as can be expected. The shot just doesn't make me think of separation, sorry. It actually makes me think of a union. 5

For some reason that I can't easily pinpoint, this shot feels really flat. I think the greens are too dominate, but the nearly monochrome foreground, which is really the subject, accentuate the dominate greens and leave this feeling like just another snapshot. An early morning or late afternoon shot MIGHT have helped you get some depth and contrast, because this looks like a midday shot. 5

I think you were trying for the motion blur. I like it, but it needs to be more exaggerated to be really effective. The bright spot at the top right is somewhat distracting as well. I think a tighter crop would have been MUCH more punchy. 7

Try moving the background back and lighting it. Plenty of tips relative to white backgrounds this week :) 6

Obviously this fits the challenge only by virtue of the title, which is acceptable to me, but you are probably getting slammed for it. I think the shot would have been better if the girl had NOT been making eye contact at the moment you shot it. It makes me uncomfortable, because it seems she doesn't want to be photographed. As a result, she becomes the subject of the photo, to me. Her being the subject makes the cell phone a raw distraction. It seems to be a very haphazardly composed shot, maybe a shot you were trying to sneak, and this leaves me somewhat disappointed in it. 5

I do see something that has been separated, but the shot itself does not make me think "separation." It is executed fairly well, in light of the separation you were illustrating. 6
