I wondered what I was looking at in the thumbnail but I have to say what wonderful use of DOF. I rather like the effect.

Definetly a top 10 contender in my opinion. The timing of this photograph is wonderful.

Good concept. A little too out of focus for me. I also suggest making the picture a little larger.

Lovely colours. Not bad DOF. Probably would have worked better for me if you had of included the spider

Good concept & good title but it is way too out of focus to score well in DPC. I would suggest that you take the photograph in the day time or in a much better lit enviroment to improve your lighting. I don't know what your lighting source here is but it is also hurting your photograph. If you can, try to capture detail in the dogs fur. Dpcers seem to score better for that. I hope this helps.

Your probabably pushing your luck a bit here. I am a fan of black & white photography & the use of shadow but to be honest neither of these is helping. The fact that it is not clearly in focus is also not helping but worst of all, you used an ornament. If your going for the brown ribbon, I think you are a contender.

No, it wan't shot through a window. The effect was done by selecting a slow shutter speed & then tracking the birds as they moved across in front of me.

I'm not a big fan of thick frames but in this case I don't really think it hurts this wonderful photograph.
