Oh yes! This is a GOOOD ONE!! Very artful and creative! And you are RIGHT! Every photograph for all time has "been there done that" before -- but each new rendition of any photo has the touch of the new master! This one is very special. Most definitely a 10 by ANY standard!

One of my worst scoring photos ever was in the toy challenge too, Juli. I think the thing about toy photos having a really hard time doing well is right -- plus -- have you noticed, there are aLOT of newbie voters that are even more brutal than the old timers.

I'm sorry you had to live thru a week of voting with a 3.85 score :( The second challenge I ever entered got a 3.8 too. (don't go look, I'm embarrassed. . .I didn't know what a macro was)

Anyway, I'm glad this is all over for you -- because your work is so pretty and successful.

(((( hug ))))

Wow! As much as I LOVED the one you entered in the challenge, I think I might be with Deb. There's something about this one that is even more compelling and beautiful. I love the rich reddish tones. And her expression seems so relaxed. This is flawless!!!

Oh no! It doesn't look too dark on my monitor at ALL! And my monitor is spyder calibrated. Jeeeez! This is so majestic! All 4 feet off the ground, and that noble gallant look on the horse's face.

Amy! You are AWESOME!!!!!!!

Amy, I have been thinking about so much lately!!! This is beautiful! You are such an amazing photographer. I'm still haunted (in the best BEST of ways) by your sensational blog photos. You are so good at bringing out rich tones and beauty in scenes, and making scenes that would be pretty anyway -- just downright STUNNING and unforgettable!

Tee heee. . .this reminds me so much of poor Bill, when somehow, I get sidetracked when we are hanging out together by. . .gasp. . ..clothes shopping. This is so perfect. The SALE sign. The exasperated expression. The aggravated folded arms. You NAILED it!

Deb! This photo TOTALLY kicks butt!!! I love the perfectly blurred person -- but the way that tunnel escapes from all that red. Whoa! Those overlay geniuses got nothin' on you!!! :)

Oh!!! Zxaar!!!! What an aMAZING fine art photo! Thank you for sharing so eloquently the story behind it. It makes it even more magical. I actually think this time, I prefer the color version over the black and white. It seems somehow to tell a little more of the story. The lighting and shadows are exquisite.

You are a painter. . ..I can see this as a huge painting. How beautifully it would enhance a room!

Congratulations on a most unique and beautiful capture.

Well, if ya have to be on the road, it looks like you got a nice comfy place to land at the end of the day. I think this is a perfect photo to be processed in black and white. The shades of blacks, whites and grays contrast so beautifully.

I like the tattoo. . . Adds character and interest :)

Sooooo you must have gotten something truly spectacular in the reflections challenge if you posted this one here. This is awesome.

Could be that he was shooting for the reflections challenge too -- but more likely -- like you, he just recognized a stunning scene and snagged it too :) But I like yours better because the human element for me always adds interest.
