The Old and the Newby JimiRoseComment: Jimi! I am loving your style and the story you are telling about where you live with your photography. I've never been to Italy, but have been so drawn to it and inspired by photos I've seen and television documentaries. Thank you for sharing. Each day is a cool new treat. I'm so glad you picked the subject you did for this challenge!
Oh, and I have to disagree with Socal about the McDonalds arch being a distraction. I don't think it looks like its coming out of his head. I think it looks like it is nicely framing him to add interest and composition. Art and photography is so subjective, isn't it? My vote: This has personality and character totally as is!

Portrait of an Alley Catby Bernard_MarxComment: What an amazing photo! I have tried so many times to get this "look" with certain photos, but I always fall short. I just love the edginess. . .the rich processing. The tones. And the character.
** back to Photoshop to try again ** :)

Spring Windowby JutildaComment: Wow! That is STRONG! I love it! I can see this as a big poster, with the poem written on that right window pane side. This really grabs me. The verse, and the perfect photo that goes with it. You truly are THE BOMB!

Station roof detailby MelethiaComment: Oh how I love the way you put together lines and shapes. I wish I could "see" these types of photos. You are amazing at that! It's so interesting and such intricate detail in that architecture.

Take Flight with a Book (4/2 II).jpgby karmatComment: From the thumbnail, I thought it was a bird. I thought we had the same idea for today, but this is so interesting. How'd you do that! The lighting is exquisite against that velvet black background. |
