fireworks.jpgby andrewtComment: Oh jeeeeez, you had a hard time choosing, didn't you! Wow! I'm guessing with a 7.94 score, you picked the right one, altho this one certainly would have been close! |

Fall Splendorby lifethroughlensesComment: It looks like a road thru paradise! We are actually still enjoying fall colors here in Texas, but we don't get fall beauty and color like this. This is just shy of Heaven :)

Gates of Splendour by mpetersComment: Wow, Mark! Wow! You know. . .lots of people can take pictures of the same spot -- but they sure can't all turn out photos like this! When you think about it, all photos have probably been done lots of times before, but the very few are able to take what's been seen before and make it stand out, heads and shoulders above all the rest. This is one of those photos! Congratulations on the ribbon -- your fourth highest rated photo -- and just for having another fine art piece of magic in your portfolio!

Twilight Hour by Brent_SComment: Ohmygoodness! I don't know that I have ever seen a more beautiful photograph. The night time exposure is absolutely perfect -- but the shadowy, snowy Mt. Ranier in the sunset background. What a fine art masterpiece! Congratulations on the blue ribbon -- but seriously -- this should be printed and sold to Seattle lovers for biiiiiiig bucks!
Oh, and thanks for ammunition. I have been foaming at the mouth to upgrade to that 5D Mark II. I will show my husband this photo so he will understand why I need it too :) As IF I could get a shot like this anyway, but at least with that camera I could get closer :)

A New Dawnby GregoryBComment: Greg!! This is FABULOUS! When I first saw this in the challenge, I thought it must be Roz' You KNOW what a compliment that is. In fact, "Roz,look out. .. your other half is hot on your heels" :) And I'm sure she is delighted and proud of your work.
I love the fact that it is one of the best macros I've seen, but it is in the context of a stunning photograph. One you'd hang on your wall. Congratulations on a personal best score, and an AMAZING photograph to add to your portfolio! |
