Dark and Light of the Mindby heathenComment: What a stark and striking photo! I think this one will do very well as it has just the artistic and moody feel that everyone loves here! Including me! I love the feel of that awesome patterned wall! Perfect for the high contrast black and white composition. Wow! I love it! |

Elderby charmayneComment: Wow. Can't figure out why this one scored 5.3. It's beautiful. Boy, they are brutal on Free Study voting aren't they ?
I love the colors in this, and that butterfly's head and front "legs" are as crisp as razors.
Great job Charmayne! |

The Model Behind the 8 Ballby BrianRComment: Well, shoot. Why'd this cute photo score so low. It's crisp and sharp. Vibrant striking colors. Composed well technically. Hmmmm. No figuring what appeals to these voters is there!

Reflected Light of Dawnby BrianRComment: Not too bad Brian. I certainly voted it MUCH higher than 5.7, but considering how brutal they vote in these Free Studies, I guess it didn't finish too bad.
I like it alot. |

Fall flowerby puzzledComment: This is amazing. The textures on this make it unique. Not your typical flower photo. The soft blue & green tones in the background make it pop so much too! I love this one!

Professor Quackby sherpetComment: This one too, Shez, is quite quite underrated. I'm thinking that unless its a toy challenge, it seems photos of toys don't score too well in the challenges. But this is executed perfectly: crisp, bright and vivid. Composed well. Cute concept. You did great. |

Best Friendsby sherpetComment: Shez, I am just now checking in to see the results of the challenges. I'm so sorry your photo of your beloved Peter didn't give you a better score. Free Studies are very tough, and I think people grade much harder in them.
It will always be one of my favorites. It makes me happy to look at it because I know the love that went into it -- and remains between you 2!
