Even pouting at you -- that is one precious little girl!! I love those high key black and white photos, but you're right, I don't think they work too well with black backgrounds. This is so nice and soft and dreamy.

Oh, Judy! This is FANTASTIC!! I love everything about this photo. The way the birds seem to be watching and interacting with each other. I love the high key circle in the middle -- as if they have a spotlight on them -- and I love the rough textured processing.

Oh that is SO TRUE! Thank you for reminding me that sometimes the most precious memories are captured in. . .the dpc-forbidden. . .snapshot!

I wonder how many of them I have tossed aside because the lighting wasn't perfect, or there was a distracting element in the background. But looking back at some of the best and even famous photographs from days gone by, they are just that: snapshots, and some of them sell for big bucks too!

Thanks for sharing your memory with us! It warmed my heart today. So, are you out of Iraq now??????? Whew! I'll be glad when you're back home with your kitties!

Tee hee. . .I love hearing stories about other spouses that get a little "aggravated" with the whole photography thing when it makes them wait :) I'm glad my hubby isn't the only one.

I really love this. It looks like a studio shot with that crisp clean white background :)

It's so interesting how the lines all crossing each other in front of your subject actually make this more dramatic and interesting. I wonder why they like it up there so much. The reds also really give it pop.

I really like this photo. I love the wintery feel, and the perspective of looking across that bridge with those great lamp posts. I could see this printed and hanging on a wall. Great work.
