what a lovely image. it might have been a stronger challenge entry if you had gone with a vertical crop, taking off 15% off the left and about 30% off the right. that would draw the viewer in closer for a more intimate look of the subject. all the same, a nice find. good luck!

isn't this a great time of the year to be out shooting! this is a nice find, but i do think it would be a stronger entry if there weren't so many blowouts. it's really tough shooting at this time of day, because the lcd is so hard to read. if your camera has an on-board histogram, you might try checking it out, just to see if you have too much smashed up against the right, indicating blowouts. that really takes away from the details that would add a lot of texture to your image. good luck!
