i like the idea, but feel that your execution has let you down. the lighting is just a bit too strong, and a lot of the details and textures that could make this a rich image are missing. also, the focus is just a bit too soft. not sure what was in the background, but it is more of a distraction that a complementing element.

this looks to be an interesting flower, but the composition isn't really knocking me over. i like the lower colors, but the background and upper petals seem a bit flat. maybe a different crop might have made this a bit more dynamic.

interesting image. you might consider a shadow/highlight adjustment, though, to bring out some of the detail on the animal. as is, it's just too much in the shadows to really appreciate. you might also consider a less centered composition the next time you happen upon one of these beasts. it's one thing if you want to shoot a straight documentary shot, it's another thing if you want to create an engaging image the captivates and keeps the viewer for awhile. hope this does well for you. good luck!

this looks like a vista that has potential, but for this image, it's a bit too soft. the composition is ok, but i can't get enough of a feel for your primary subject to really be taken in by it. if that's water down below, though, you might want to scout around for some places to shoot the reflections...
