interesting take on the challenge...

probably would have done better if she was nekkid, or if there was a shark chasing her.

i love the composition and the basic idea, and hope you aren't getting beaten up too badly. if you're not happy with how this is scoring, you might want to check out this thread. good luck!

yes, you have caught some 'action', but i am sure you have been hammered unmercifully for both your take on the challenge and the photo quality. my guess is that you probably would have done better if you had included the other two elements of sport--beer and blood...

anyways, it's obvious that you have the equipment and imagination to do better--it's just a matter of how you use it. you might want to check out this thread. good luck!

you are no doubt getting hammered for your challenge interpretation. maybe if you had included two more elements of sport (beer and blood) to your image, it would have scored higher...

as a photograph, it is ok, but there's no context that makes it very interesting.

if you are really interested in scoring higher, you might want to check out this thread...obviously you have the equipment and some imagination--it's just a matter of how you use it. good luck!

ok, you have two things going against you as far as the challenge goes: photo quality and meeting the challenge. i appreciate your entering, and hope you aren't getting beaten up too badly. however this winds up, and regardless of the comments you get, don't take it personally. if you want to do better, you can--as long as you keep trying!

here's a couple ideas. if this is the only type of sporting activity you could get, you could have done better if you had the kids line up like they were getting ready to start a race. also, if possible, you could have shot this from every side of the pool, to see which one would have the best lighting. another thing to try while shooting at this time of day is to use your flash (it will help capture details washed out by the harsh light of the sun). lastly, you might want to check out this thread -- it has some really good tips about scoring higher. good luck!

all i can say is "what an interesting take on the challenge". i have no idea what this is conveying--it almost looks like someone with their faced smashed up against a window...

you might want to check out this thread. good luck!

this has the makings of a fine photograph, but could use a little work. you've probably been told that the horizon is tilted and that it either looks oversharpened or too noisy or not sharp enough and/or that the border wasn't applied evenly. just don't take any of it (especially your score) personally. just keep on shooting and submitting, and you will get where you want to be!

you might want to check out this thread for some more pointers on how to score higher. good luck!

no doubt you are getting hammered for your take on 'sport'. as a photograph, this is ok. it would probably be more interesting, though, with a short dof (making the background blurry and less distracting). if you are going to shoot 'outside the box' on challenges, please take into consideration all the things that can make an image to life. you also might want to check out this thread.

little over exposed on the bottle, but nice reflection on the board. i think you missed the part of the definition about 'anything with beer is sport'...it's actually anything with beer AND BLOOD--if you had put some blood on the board, i'm sure this would have scored a lot higher. better luck next time!

while this has all the makings of the type of image i enjoy (especially when produced in camera), there's not enough here detail or size wise for me to really get into the image, let alone relate it to sports action.

however this finishes, don't let it dissuade you. check out this thread and KEEP ON SHOOTING!
