Little Geishaby bruskiComment: Great concept, but would be more effective if she was not straight on to the camera. Well exposed and the props are awesome. |

Joanby DLPhotoComment: For one light this is very nicely lit. The model has beatiful skin and very expressive eyes. My only two nit picks are the horizontal crop which cuts off the top of her head while leaving extra space on the sides to show what is on the left side of the image very distracting. (nothing wrong with a portrait in horizontal crop if it works for the image...just not this one)
Overall you did great with your umbrella! 6 |

Remember Tomorrowby CorySmithComment: I am not a big gun person so I will guess that is a shell casing supposedly flying out of the side of the gun?
Nicely lit for the soldier's head and helmut but the lighting on the hands make them stick out a bit too much. I like that you tried to do something different.
That being said, it is not going to pass as a studio portrait because even if I ignore what looks like trees behind him, we do not fire guns in the studio....so even though it is DNMC I will still score it a 5 because there is some obvious lighting going on here which took some work to set up. :) |

Hungry? Why Wait?by lambertfamily21Comment: I think perhaps making this a vertical crop instead of horizontal would be more effective from my point of view. Keeping her arms in the shot an the top of her head, is more important to me then the sides of the dress. |

Roseby MYLCComment: I like that you are taking a chance with the bold directional lighting here. Your exposure is bang on. I am not so sure I like the side view so much, and I know that I find the hand distracting. I do love the boldness of the lighting set up though. |

Susanby CraftyComment: A great model with a very pleasant expression. The hair and tilt of her head are nice. The harsh shadow under her chin and the very flat lighting, as well as the very white skin tones take away from the image.
Overall a nice shot with some obvious work put into it. |
