For this image I love the colours. That gives it immediate interest. It appears to be a tad on the bright side, and the lighting is fairly harsh, I would guess from a flash. The focus is excellent, and it certainly fits the challenge.
If you were to retake this photo, try bouncing the flash instead of using direct flash on the subject, or diffuse the flash. I think that would make a world of difference on this shot.
I look forward to seeing more of your florals.

First of all congratulations on choosing a challenging idea to photograph. The out of focus background is wonderful, however the large amount of stem on the left I do find distracting. The waterdrop itself is well lit, however the hotspot to the right of it a little bit harsh.
with those things considered, it is a nice minimalist photo.
