Now, you want me to believe that this writing pad is gigantic and these lines do appear to merge. But, hey, I get your drift, these lines are starting to merge. A noce entry because it gives us a break from the roads and railroad tracks. Nice. |

of course, they will ask: "Why not shot with the camera facing the swimmers?" However, no penalty here. |

A very nice sky and certainly a diminishing, though quick curving road. Ah, but it continues. |

A yes, you are giving the viewer the opportunity to find his own vanishing points. Certainly a vast image with great distance. I like the hazy look. |

Actually a river is not composed of parallel lines, but it is also subject to the vanishing point. Very nice, quiet and tender. |

Lego Loveby lizzyc3Comment: from the critique club:
This was a challenge that through many off guard. This image meets the challenge because there is no doubt that the figures are miniture. The choice to go with toys and dolls creates one minor problem. Some people are simply turned off by certain figurines and minitures.
However, in your case you did the best with what you used. The composition is well done and your choice of angle and dof complete the inherent charm in the image. The problem lies more with the rich colors of the models specially that of the girl where the red is so predominant. The little guy is very well colored with the cream tone, yet the strong yellow of the heads and the hands almost clash with the red.
Well, the next problem with figures is that they present more attention with lighting, much like an advertisement to present them in their true fidelity.
I give your concept a 6 and the execution a 5. The composition gets a 7.
Yet, the image is cute. You have a natural eye for composition and this will serve you well because it is a subject that is hard to teach. The execution end will improve as you go. I say go ahead and work on your next. |
