Life is Goodby jbsmithanaComment: A great and honest representation with an image that is infectious with the projection of tranquility in character. The colors are great and the background help support the rendition. Bumping up. |

Gangsta'by postoakinversionComment: An outstanding effort with superior focus and great mood lighting. The facial expression grab the viewer at once and the steely blue eyes are like rivets coming at you. Bumping up. |

Shades by dsa157Comment: A cool gristly portrayal that makes the urchin like beard project a rustic sense of determination and self confidence. While the eyes are critical in portraits, their absence here is very well accented with the shades. The overall effect is that of mystery. A very good capture with good lighting and great matching background. Bumping up. |

Windows to My Soulby smellyfish1002Comment: Indeed. The strenght of a portrait is in the eyes. Here the visual expression is enhanced by a well determined facial expression. The lighting is on the money and the framing is superb. Bumping up. |

midnight in the gardenby grigrigirlComment: A very cool and complete effect which conjures mystery and drama off the gate. Very smart to allow the hair drape and support the great face angle. Bumping up. |

this is me [i hope]by whiteroomComment: Leaning slightly towards a graphical reprentation, this image transcends the medium because of the distinct features. While nothing is sharply spelled out, the look has great impact and a sense of intimacy. These type of image is not easy to create and obtain this superb effect. Bumping up. |

Anguishby TranquilComment: Indeed a work of art. The lighting, the face angle, the cloded eyes all add to maintain a deeper aspect of the human experience. Congratulations on this outstanding effort. Some may say that it is not quite a portrait, I disagree because althought it is not a conventional face image, it is a portrait of a feeling and this image transmits this information at once. Bumping up. |

Trapped!by kosmikkreeperComment: Wild and crazy and breaking happy smiles all over the voters lips. This is great because of the inflated cheeks. There is enough detail to qualify for the portrait aspect and the special effect is like the cherry on top. Bumping up. |

Stay tuned.by asijComment: A mean special effect with great lighting. This is one of those efforts that meet the challenge and then rises above to deliver that extra surprise. Very well executed. Bumping up. |
