beautiful shot and the long hair really catches the light beautifully. I may have to try and get up early just to shoot. I have a hard time exposing for these shots I think I usually end up blowing out the sky to get details in the face. another excellent image.

This is why I like shooting with clouds around especially before and after storms to find those bursts of light between the dark clouds. I like the leadins lines of the clouds to take you to the city too.

Great light Alice! I am glad you showed the full scene, it looks great with the bridge in the background. I "think" this is raking light where the sun one side is highlighted and the side details is sidelit to show texture. I may have used a curve to pull down the highlights and shadows, but thats up to personal taste. great first shot :)

Yeah it was just panning when they went by, but I had my Sigma wide angle at 10 mm so when I use that lens like this you can really find the distortion, I think I had the camera a little angled down to add to the bent perspective too.

I like the shutterspeed, very natural and not of the long exposure variety. I like how the rocks in front of the lighthouse are so boxy.
