Wow, I can't believe you were able to get that close. We had a pair of them living in our garden for 2 summers and this is the closest I was able to get:


They can get pretty aggressive, especially when there are eggs around. Gave me quite a problem when I had trees I needed to water near their "nest".

Sadly they abandoned us this summer. I really miss them.

I like the idea but the bottle looks too posed. I would have preferred it lying down with the lid off, possibly with the contents spilling onto the table.

No, not my first. I've lived my whole life in South Africa, and have used this balloon often. Just never from this angle.
