I guess there are words on the street sign at the left of the image - but the idea of this competition was to have words as the focus. This seems like a snapshot of a dirty bus.

I think you could crop the bottom third of this image to remove the trash can itself. Not really necessary for us to get the joke, and would get viewer to focus more on sign and cat.

This looks blurry (perhaps a crop from a larger image?), and a little "blown out" at the top. Good concept though. Perhaps cropping the right hand blue material would have balanced this out a bit more.

I guess those are tweezers holding the paper (nice focus and depth of field by the way), but some more in the image to provide a perspective (on size), would add more context to this. Perhaps also with a magnifying glass over the tweezers, and even smaller text...

Freeze to Please

The light in this image seems a bit flat. Perhaps shot with more sidelighting, and a polarizer (to remove the reflection from the glass on left) would add more impact to this (in my humble opinion). Just a side note - having the title replicate the focus of the image does nothing - give it some flair or describe it - don't just repeat it (again - just my opinion).
