A subtle patience by heidaComment: A classic shot, and beautifully done. I'm not sure there's anything more beautiful than a pregnant woman. I'm not 100% sold on the expression on her face... I think maybe something more serene with downcast eyes. Or maybe just pushing that strand of hair back that casts a shadow on her face. That's being highly critical though. It's a great image with high marks from me. Good luck! |

Caged Colorby divernickComment: Poor guy. I can't decide if I like the shadows of the cage or not. On one hand, the made me very sad for him. But on the other hand, they give the image an emotional edge that it might not otherwise have.
Beautiful bird and great vivid colors. |

Energyby DougPazComment: Very cool semi-abstract shot. Almost looks like a scene from outer space -- a strange moon or ship circling some planet. I'm guessing that's your finger on the left side, but I like how it's so dark, you can barely make it out. |

Slide Showby KylieComment: I like this one a lot. The yellow color in the windows is lovely. |

Water Mosaicby KylieComment: I've been wanting to take a shot somewhat similar to this, ever since I saw one done that was just incredible. It's hard! This one is pretty cool, but the glare in the top right bothers me a bit. |

Angelaby shutterflyComment: I'm puzzled by how different the lighting is on her torso vs her legs -- it almost looks like she has a tan from the waist up. Also problematic are the blown highlights on the feet. Not a bad image, but I think shifting the light source to a different angle might have improved it. |

Defeatby moviemanComment: A bold entry. It makes me uncomfortable, and for that I guess it's successful. Just not subject matter I really care to dwell on though. I find myself immediately wanting to move to the next image. |

Closed Inby FotowereldComment: I think the light might have been used more effectively here. One of my favorite thing about nudes is the play of light and shadow on the curves of the body. In this photo, most of light appears to fall on the edge of the bed where it's wasted leaving most of the figure in uniform shadow.
Love the quality of light and tones. The pose is familiar and comforting -- a cozy fetal position that we often assume in sleep.
Good luck to you! |
