Yeah, if my main light had been firing, the hair light would not have appeared nearly so strong. See discussion here of the huge mistake I made.

The large catch light is a 5'x2' softbox which is up close to him. The smaller catch light (not quite dead center) is a 2' square softbox at the back of the room (used as a fill light). It's actually a couple of feet higher than him, which is why I'm sure it's not dead center. :-)

This works great for someone with perfect features such as him and an excellent technique for fashion models.
